Whitney
You scored as John Calvin, Much of what is now called Calvinism had more to do with his followers than Calvin himself, and so you may or may not be committed to TULIP, though God's sovereignty is all important.
Which theologian are you? created with QuizFarm.com |
You scored as Emergent/Postmodern, You are Emergent- Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

Nick
You scored as Anselm, Anselm is the outstanding theologian of the medieval period. He sees man's primary problem as having failed to render unto God what we owe him, so God becomes man in Christ and gives God what he is due. You should read 'Cur Deus Homo?'

I also scored as Anselm and Emergent/Postmodern. I am not surprised by emergent, but I am a bit by Anselm...I was expecting more of a Barth influence. What do you think?
Maybe the best place for Whitney was at Heritage. You got to love her John Calvin Theology. She should look into finding a reformed church in Cali.
Look at my results...kind of similar to yours:
Anselm 80%
Jonathan Edwards 60%
Martin Luther 60%
John Calvin 53%
Karl Barth 40%
Friedrich Schleiermacher 40%
Jürgen Moltmann 40%
Augustine 33%
Charles Finney 27%
Paul Tillich 27%
Emergent/Postmodern 93%
Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan 61%
Charismatic/Pentecostal 54%
Classical Liberal 50%
Neo orthodox 50%
Roman Catholic 46%
Modern Liberal 39%
Reformed Evangelical 32%
Fundamentalist 29%
These are fun...any more :)?
Hah, I'm an Anselm Post-Modern?!
I'll have to look up who Anselm was!
As for post-modern, the Wesleyan and Reformed Evangelical came in as a close second and third. I guess I'm just typical of this era... a hodgepodge of stuff! 8-)

I scored as Jurgen Moltmann and so did Maija (although she was tied with Anselm). I guess we're big fans of suffering. We didn't take the other test.
I took both tests, I tied with Calvin, Moltmann, and Anselm.
I scored first for Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan; second Postmodern; which makes sense to me.
Good tests, thanks to you both.
First quiz I came up Anselm then this:
What's your theological worldview?
You scored as a Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan
You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.
Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan 82%
Neo orthodox 71%
Emergent/Postmodern 68%
Charismatic/Pentecostal 54%
Classical Liberal 50%
Roman Catholic 43%
Modern Liberal 36%
Reformed Evangelical 36%
Fundamentalist 36%
Now that is somewhat surprising considering my Presbyterian background. FIRST--CHRISTIAN then denomination/doctrine. love and God Bless GM
